The BEST PUPUSAS in Myrtle Beach!!!! They are fresh, the cheese is bursting out and of course they come with "curtido" (spicy fermented cabbage slaw) The service is very good and I felt I was eating in someone's house. They made me feel that cozy.
I was at Myrtle Beach on vacation and craving a pupusa. I found a restaurant here that sold them, and they were just as good as the ones I've had in the DC area. The restaurant's decor was very nice, and the staff was very attentive. We also tried some apps. The yucca con chicharron was very good, and the slaw they served was very flavorful. We also tried the ceviche and fried calamari. Both were very well done, and the ceviche had a good spicy taste. I had the carnales platter, and it was excellent. The steak and chicken were tender, and the bacon-wrapped shrimp was amazing. Of course, I had some pupusas, which were just how I liked them. I split them in half easily and ate them with slaw, which was very tasty. We ended the meal with churros, which was a great end to the meal. If you're at Myrtle Beach, give them a try!
